	&lt;li&gt;Proven experience in customer focused environment, preferably in the contract furniture realm&amp;mdash;bonus points if you&amp;rsquo;ve survived a trade show!&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Strong communication skills&amp;mdash;if you can talk a client&amp;rsquo;s ear off about upholstery, you&amp;rsquo;re in!&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Negotiation skills that would make a seasoned diplomat jealous.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;A sense of humor and a love for teamwork&amp;mdash;because who doesn&amp;rsquo;t want to laugh while selling furniture?&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Customer-centric mindset with a side of creativity.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;About the role:&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To support Space Group&amp;rsquo;s growth aspirations, the &amp;lsquo;Furniture BDM &amp;ndash; Office Sector&amp;rsquo; role has been created to support the expansion of our business.&amp;nbsp; In an ever changing and volatile end user market, we believe that our senior customer facing staff need to be versatile, adaptable and have a broad skillset in order to react at the right pace to meet customer needs, against this market backdrop.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This role encompasses sales, administration and project management and requires an individual with sufficient agility to manage all these aspects in a fast moving environment.&amp;nbsp; It suits an individual who is excited by operating, at times, outside of their comfort zone rather than fearful of it.&amp;nbsp; That said, full training and ongoing support with be given and the successful candidate would have the benefit of a large and successful business supporting them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Space BDM will be part of the Space Contract Furniture team and report to the Head of Furniture.&amp;nbsp; He / she will be set a new business sales and GP target, allowing for a pipeline to be built up in year one.&amp;nbsp; A generous and achievable open ended bonus scheme will form part of this role.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;u&gt;Key responsibilities&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Self-source new business leads to deliver incremental business&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Handle leads from incoming enquiries and / or from existing customers on an ad hoc basis.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Build relationships with Interior Designers, end users, QS&amp;rsquo;s with a view to selling all divisions of the Space Group within the Hotel sector.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Hold introductory meetings with key decision makers / influencers to present the Space Contract Furniture and the wider Space Group.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Attend briefing meetings to take full client brief.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Undertake technical site surveys.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Produce and present quotes (quote tools will be provided).&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Present designs and quotes back to clients.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Project management of own converted projects.&amp;nbsp; NB. some projects may be handed over to other PMs where geographically expedient to do so.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Liaising closely with Nisbets teams.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Set up incoming leads up on our CRM system in line with best practice.&amp;nbsp; Take responsibility to ensure all lead information is regularly updated on CRM system.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Be responsible for working with our central design and admin functions, arranging, when required:&amp;nbsp; visuals / full quoting / project ordering in line with Space normal operating processes.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ensure that large or complex projects, or projects which involve a considerable amount of building work are progressed in the most appropriate way to maximise the chances of conversion.&amp;nbsp; This may require the involvement of other Space personnel, or handing the project over to other personnel if it is more suited to another project / account manager.&amp;nbsp; This should be judged on a project by project basis in conjunction with your line manager.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;h3&gt;Expected qualifications and experience:&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Experience withing the Office sector as a Sales representative&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;A knowledge of the contract furniture industry&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Experience in specifying product with designers or end users&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Target Driven&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;CRM Proficient&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ability to negotiate&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Passion!&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
